Abstract

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has the implementation of the new normal, which is a change that occurs in people's behavior or lifestyle during or after the pandemic, including in the education sector. Collaboration between principals and teachers is very important in the learning process and the need for an appropriate learning strategy to be implemented. This study aims to determine the collaboration carried out by school principals and teachers in determining learning strategies in the new normal era carried out by SMK Negeri 22 Jakarta. The research method used is a qualitative approach using data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation as well as data analysis using the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. In the results of the study, it was obtained that the collaboration of principals and teachers in determining the learning strategy of the new normal era at SMK Negeri 22 Jakarta was carried out by implementing management functions, first planning was by holding joint meetings and then providing training related to the learning strategy to be used, secondly on the implementation of the learning strategy, the principal always behaved openly and solutively when teachers experienced problems in their class. Finally, supervision is carried out by the principal to find out and follow up on the performance of teachers to improve the quality of learning.
