Eco-Pesantren Educational Model Based on Extracurricular Activities

This study aims to analyze the Eco-Pesantren Education Model Based on Extracurricular Activities. The theory used in this study is the theory of eco-pesantren and Mary Rombokas extracurricular activities. This research uses a qualitative method with the type of case study research and is descriptive. This research was conducted at the SPMAA Islamic Boarding School, Turi Lamongan, East Java. Data collection techniques are done through interviews, observations, and document studies. This research concludes: first, the eco-pesantren education model is an educational model to make Islamic boarding schools environmentally friendly through forms of activities such as developing environmentally friendly Islamic boarding school policies, curriculum development, development of extracurricular activities, development and management of infrastructure in improving knowledge, obedience, and awareness for the preservation and protection of natural resources and the environment. Second, the eco-pesantren education model based on extracurricular activities is carried out through activities: academic, character building, skills, student risk, and social. The model of exclusionary activities is organized in the form of PILIH (Education and Environmental Information). PILIH is an environmental movement from pesantren that provides the community with education and environmental information. Disaster Response Student (SANTANA). SANTANA is a social student and student movement organization that assists victims of natural disasters. The Community of Santri Lovers of Environment and Nature (KSATRIAKU) is an activity that accommodates students and students in protecting and preserving the environment. KSATRIAKU seeks to ground religious teachings into real action pro-environmental that can be felt directly by the community and the surrounding nature.References
