Teacher Work Motivation as a Means of Increasing the Performance of Special School Teachers in Border Areas

In the world of education, the interaction between students and teachers has a very close relationship that can shape the character and intellect of students. The matter of educating students has challenges, especially educating students with special needs requires educators who have a spirit of service. Students with special needs in this border area have been fostered and educated by school teachers without special provisions for services for students with special needs. Therefore, in this study, researchers wanted to further analyze the role of teacher motivation in educating SLBN Adil Ka' Talino Bengkayang students on teacher performance. The case study method used in this study, namely through observation, and in-depth interviews. Researchers interviewed three teachers who were active in coaching and three parents of students. The results of this study indicate that the motivation of the Adil Ka' Talino Bengkayang SLBN teachers was able to improve their performance, especially internal factors that came from their concern for students with special needs.References
